Gratuity for the server is not included in the ticket price so be prepared to cover that cost when you arrive. They do offer an upgrade package for $10 per person that includes better seats but we did not take advantage of that option (perhaps we should have). We also did not know of any means to choose where we sat. The action occurs in the middle of the arena and our seats were all the way at the very end or side and it was not the best vantage point to enjoy the show from. The only thing that was disappointing was our seats. There is also a story line and live actors that portray the king and his court. The show is an equestrian / horse show with exciting displays of riding skills by knights that engage in sword fights and jousting in a tournament style setting. The servers bring each item of the meal out separately as the show is beginning. After the drinks comes Tomato soup with a slice of Garlic bread and then a baked and seasoned half-chicken, half of a baked potato, a small corn on-the-cob and later for dessert an apple turnover. First is drinks, (water, Pepsi, or diet Pepsi products) Alcohol containing beverages are available but they are NOT included in the cost of the meal. Everyone enjoys the same meal which is served during the show and in courses. You are asked prior to the meal if you have any "dietary restrictions" but since no one in our party did, I do not know what if any options were available. There is no menu to choose from, for the meal is already determined. The setting is that of a time of Kings and Queens and knights and fanfare. As you drive up to the property you see a very large castle and immediately realize this is not your average restaurant. This is dinner and a live show in an arena setting. You will have a great time and so will everyone else. However, if this is your first time, you really should attend. After twice though now, should we make it down there again, we might try a different type of dinner theatre. Both times we went, kids loved it and talked about the action sequences. Not crazy good but better fare than one might come to expect from this type of event. Then you get half a chicken and a baked patato next. Tomato soup in a bowl and garlic bread is served first. Once inside you are seated around the arena gladiator style and servers come to your table spot. The bar is alway open in this land and throughout the night should you want drinks your server will bring this to you. There are some decent pricing on tshirts and hoodies too. As you can imagine, once inside there are many goodies your kids will want to get in the spirit of things, swords, axes, helms, and princess hats gallore. There is a fee should you wish to keep the photo and if you dont want it you can opt out. Once in, you will get a photo op with a knight should you wish it. Look above for the appropriate line up and it gets crowded inside the castle entrance. Make sure you are there at least 45 minutes ahead of time to get your tickets or trade in vouchers. It is certainly worth going to, at least once. We did the medieval time dinner theatre twice now and had fun each time.
